Some examples use a wider range of characters than the standard avatars Anna, Marc, Francoise, Luna and Siggi. The additional avatars are made available for evaluation only. Please contact cmp_virtualsigning@uea.ac.uk to discuss commercial support and use of additional avatars.
These pages should function on all major browsers on Windows, Linux, and OS X.
They should also function on iOS devices and modern tablets and smart phones.
See below for a version transpiled for legacy browsers such as Internet Explorer.

An application for animating SiGML data is available based on the WebGL implementation via Node.js and Electron. Installers are available for OS X, Windows, and Linux. See the JASigning Platform Issues notes, especially for the Linux distribution.
This is a prototype implementation providing the features of the HTML5 WebGL implementation. It does not currently have all the functionality of the Java Web Start SiGML Player application.

SiGML Player: OS X Installer for Intel Macs
Plays SiGML data as text or from a file from a given URL or as a sequence delivered on a network socket.
To Install: Double-Click DMG file to open. Move application to Applications or desired location.
To Run: Right-Click application (first time only) to authorise for launching.
For console log: In Terminal, from directory containing application, enter e.g. "SiGML-Player.app/Contents/MacOS/SiGML-Player".
SiGML Player: Windows Installer
Plays SiGML data as text or from a file from a given URL or as a sequence delivered on a network socket.
To Install: Double-Click to run the installer EXE file. It may be necessary to bypass Windows Defender SmartScreen.
To Run: Double-Click the desktop shortcut for the application created by the installer.
For console log: In CMD, from the folder containing the application, enter e.g. "SiGML-Player.exe".
SiGML Player: Linux Installer
Plays SiGML data as text or from a file from a given URL or as a sequence delivered on a network socket.
To Install: Right-Click AppImage to set Properties. In Permissions allow executing as a program.
To Run: Double-Click AppImage to launch.
For console log: In Terminal, from directory containing application, enter e.g. "SiGML-Player.AppImage".
Using Java applets is deprecated and support ceased at the end of 2016. For comments on supported browsers see the JASigning Platform Issues notes.
JASigning applications are launched via JNLP files. Users of JASigning on OS X should see the comments on Java Web Start in the JASigning Platform Issues notes.
SiGML Player
Plays a SiGML file from a given URL or a SiGML sequence delivered on a network socket.
SiGML Service Client
Allows SiGML files to be input, edited, and sent to the SiGML Player or SiGML Service Player
application.

Allows SiGML files to be input, edited, and sent to the SiGML Player or SiGML Service Player
application (previous three items).
